Denmark skipper Tomasson will be hoping for a repeat performance of the last time he featured at a World Cup finals.
The Feyenoord striker netted four goals in the group stages at the 2002 World Cup before the Danes slumped to England in the last 16.
Although the 33-year-old failed to score in the six qualification games he featured in as the Danes reached South Africa this summer, he has shown he still retains a cutting edge, netting 11 times in the Eredivisie this term.
With more than a century of caps to his name, the striker can become his country's most-capped outfield player at this summer's finals, beating the record of 107 set by Thomas Helveg.
The former AC Milan frontman is also on the brink of another Danish landmark - all-time leading scorer Poul Nielsen's tally of 52 goals.
