The 37-year-old striker is considered a genuine legend in Honduran football.
Pavon is the all-time leading goalscorer for the national team with 55 goals and was his side's top marksman in qualifying for the World Cup with seven.
A first finals will cap a glittering career for the veteran, who also boasts the all-time goalscoring record of his club team, Real Espana, with 64 goals.
The much-travelled marksman has also played at Necaxa, LA Galaxy, Udinese and Napoli to name but a few clubs.
Pavon also tried his hand at music, however it soon became evident his talent lies in football.
