The oldest player in Uruguay's squad and one of the most experienced.

Scotti can play anywhere across defence, and could very well start in one of the full-back positions in South Africa, or in central defence if Oscar Tabarez opts for three centre-halves.

The 34-year-old first tasted action with Central Espanol in 1996 and he then joined Montevideo Wanderers the following year.

He then enjoyed spells abroad with Chilean club Huachipato and Mexican outfit Puebla before returning home for time with Nacional and again Montevideo Wanderers.

In 2003 he was snapped up by Rubin Kazan for his first taste of European football and he spent more than three years in Russia, playing over 100 games, before an equally successful spell when he moved to Argentinos Juniors.

His latest move has seen him return to Chilean football with a switch to Colo Colo - where he is hoping to lead them through the opening stages of the Copa Libertadores.
