Camp - England call unlikely

Camp: In fine form

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp does not expect to be a surprise inclusion in England's World Cup squad.

A number of assured displays for the Reds have helped to raise the 25-year-old's profile, leading to calls for him to be handed an international call-up.

Camp is flattered by the plaudits, and admits he would welcome the opportunity to represent is country in the future.

He does, however, believe that Fabio Capello already has plenty of options available to him for the No.1 jersey and is pessimistic regarding his chances of making the plane to South Africa this summer.

"Of course I want to play for England but you have to be realistic," said Camp.

"If you are playing well week in, week out in the Premier League then it is something that you can look at, but at the moment I would imagine it is a million miles away.

"I don't think that there is any need to dive into the Championship and take a goalkeeper when there is some real quality in the Premier League.

"Taking a rookie with no experience into that situation is a massive gamble we probably don't need to take."
