Sky Sports sources understand that England head coach Fabio Capello has agreed to name his starting XI against Slovenia more than two hours in advance.

The Italian tactician has always left his team selection until the last possible moment by confirming his players two hours before the start of any match.

However, following England's disappointment tournament in South Africa thus far, Capello's methods have been questioned with some calling for more time between his team sheet being handed in and the big kick-off.

Rob Green let in a howler in England's opener against the USA and it has been felt that the uncertainty surrounding who would start in goal played its part in the keeper's poor concentration.

Following clear-the-air talks on Sunday evening in the wake of Friday's horror show against Algeria, Capello, who has the FA's backing, has agreed to change his style by naming his team earlier.

Even Capello's position as England boss has been questioned after their remarkably woeful display against Algeria in Friday's second Group C clash, but the FA insists his position is not in their thoughts.
