Georgia Hall wins Victoria Open ahead of Nanna Madsen

Georgia Hall held her nerve to claim a one-stroke victory in the Victoria Open while Australia's seven-time major winner Karrie Webb shot 68 to finish in a tie for 11th.

The 19-year-old from Bournemouth took the lead on the 13th and carded a two-under 71 in Sunday's final round to finish at 11-under 281.

Hall finished one ahead of Denmark's Nanna Madsen, who finished with a 69, and defending champion Marianne Skarpnord of Norway who shot 70.

Hall, who has the words "deep breath" tattooed on her right wrist, explained afterwards how the maxim helps her remain calm under pressure.

"It's to remind me to take my time and not rush. With golf I sometimes do that, I rush the swing or rush a decision," she said.

"Its meaning for me is to try and take my time. If I take my time then I'm going to get it more right than if I rush it.

"It helps me out and I can have it in my mind constantly."
