Shih-Chang Chan fired a closing 67 en route to claiming his maiden European Tour title at the King's Cup in Thailand.
The 30-year-old Chan offset six birdies with three bogeys during his closing round at Phoenix Gold Golf Club in Pattaya, where golfers from Taiwan finished first and second.
His compatriot Wen-Tang Lin finished two strokes adrift following a closing 66, to complete a fourth straight sub-70 round.
Lin was chasing his second Tour win, his previous success coming at the Hong Kong Open in November 2008.
The highest placed European was Mark Foster, who tied for third, three strokes behind Chan.
Foster, the 40-year-old from Worksop, posted a 68 and was joined on the podium by Danthai Boonma who conjured up a best-of-the-day six-under-par 64.
The 20-year-old Thai reached the turn in 31 but his chances of catching Chan ended at 16 where he suffered a bogey-five.
Champion Chan admitted: "It has always been my dream to win on the Asian Tour and I did it today. The future is bright and I can only look forward from here."
Meanwhile, England's Eddie Pepperell was tied for the lead around the turn only to cover the final four holes in five over par to finish five strokes off the pace. He closed with a 71 to end up tied-for-sixth.
