Annika Sorenstam has elected to start with experience by entrusting Charley Hull and Mel Reid to lead out Team Europe in the Solheim Cup Friday foursomes at Des Moines.
The English duo finished as Europe's top two scorers in the 2015 contest, where they also formed an excellent partnership to win Europe's first point on the opening morning.
They will face Cristie Kerr and Lexi Thompson, who were unbeaten in their three matches together when Juli Inkster's USA side won 14.5-13.5 in Germany.
Georgia Hall, the only European rookie to feature in the morning session, teams up with highest-ranked seed Anna Nordqvist, as they play fellow debutant Austin Ernst and Paula Creamer.
Women's PGA champion Daniel Kang makes her debut for the hosts alongside Lizette Salas, with Carlota Ciganda and Caroline Masson completing that fixture.
The final match sees Catriona Matthew, a late entry in to the squad following Suzann Pettersen's withdrawal, join forces with Karine Icher to take on Stacy Lewis and Gerina Piller.
There's no place in the home line-up for Michelle Wie, who lost both of her foursomes matches two years ago, while Women's British Open runner-up Jodi Ewart Shadoff won't feature for the visitors in the opening session.
"I don't really want to have to play somebody five matches," Inkster said. "So someone's going to have to sit sometimes. I want everybody to try to play at least three matches."
