Sergio Garcia received further recognition for his memorable 2017 by being awarded the Association of Golf Writers Trophy for a second time.
The Spaniard registered three victories on the European Tour, including a maiden major success at the Masters, with Garcia openly describing his season as the best of his life.
Garcia registered wins at the Dubai Desert Cassic and the Andalucia Valderrama Masters either side of his play-off victory over Justin Rose at Augusta, with the 37-year-old ending the campaign third on the Race to Dubai.
"It is a tremendous honour to be recognised as the AGW Golfer of the Year by the Association's members," said Garcia. "It is something that is very difficult to achieve, so it's always a pleasure.
"We know that both the golfers and media go hand in hand in this business, and we always appreciate when they recognise you for something as big as this.
"To be voted the award for a second time, it is extremely exciting and hopefully I will be able to win it again."
Garcia last collected the award as a teenager in 1999 after his runner-up finish to Tiger Woods at the PGA Championship, with the eight-time Ryder Cup player ending the five-year run where the trophy was held by either Rory McIlroy or Henrik Stenson.
