Tommy Fleetwood tops the Race to Dubai standings heading into the DP World Tour Championship, but will he end the year as European No 1?
Fleetwood has been in pole position since winning the Open de France in July, with a tied-10th finish at the Nedbank Golf Challenge extending his lead to 256,737 points.
The 26-year-old could have sewn up the Race to Dubai with a week to spare with victory in South Africa, although arrived in Dubai with the outcome of his season still in his own hands.
Only two players in the 60-man field can still overtake Fleetwood's total of 4,235,987 points, with Justin Rose and Masters champion Sergio Garcia those sitting second and third in the standings.
Rose comes into the event looking to build on back-to-back victories at the WGC-HSBC Champions and Turkish Airlines Open, while Sergio Garcia would require a fourth win of the campaign to have any chance of leapfrogging Fleetwood.
