James Hahn enjoyed a spectacular hole-in-one on day three of the Travelers Championship, his first ace in 15 years as a professional

James Hahn's first hole-in-one as a pro was a long time in arriving, but he finally achieved the feat in style early on day three of the Travelers Championship.

The 36-year-old American joined the professional ranks 15 years ago and had played almost 2,000 par-threes in competition without an ace until he arrived at the 154-yard 11th hole at TPC River Highlands on Saturday.

Hahn took dead aim from the elevated tee with an eight-iron, and his ball didn't actually touch the turf as it landed straight in the cup and stayed there for a spectacular slam-dunk ace.

His perfect strike lifted him back to level par for the round, and he went on to pick up three more shots in a superb back-nine 29 as he carded a 67 to close on six under, leaving him just outside the top 20 heading into the final day.
