Tiger blasts condition of greens in Orlando ahead of Arnold Palmer event.
World number one Tiger Woods voiced his anger at the condition of the greens at Bay Hill as he returns to action in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Woods enters the tournament defending his five-event winning streak but he is already unhappy with conditions at the course.
Unbeaten for seven months, Woods will be keen to maintain his winning run but he believes luck will now be a big factor due to the state of the greens.
"They are not very good," he said after Wednesaday's pro-am.
"You are going to see a lot of guys hit good putts and they are going to go weird ways, unfortunately.
"But we've all got to deal with it, putt on them, and you just have to accept hitting good putts and they may not go in.
"I don't know if it makes a worse putter better or a better putter worse."
Woods won the event four times in a row from 2000 onwards but, with the greens suffering from a microscopic worm eating the roots of the grass, he does not now rate his chances as highly.
World number two Phil Mickelson is out to end Woods' winning run, and feels stronger than ever after working with coach Butch Harmon.
"This is the best I've felt about my game that I can ever remember, so I'm excited heading into the week and the stretch run to Augusta," said Mickelson.
"I feel I can swing the club harder or faster if I want and still have the support and balance of my lower body."
