When long driving goes wrong! Joe Miller endures a couple of tee malfunctions in the Shot Centre

Joe Miller made a welcome return to the Sky Sports studio during our coverage of the QBE Shootout, but his attempt at demonstrating his long driving prowess didn't go according to plan.

The two-time World Long Drive champion was warmed up and ready to hammer his 48-inch driver, but a couple of untimely "tee malfunctions" on his downswing put the Shot Centre, presenter Rob Lee and the camera crew in danger.

Miller uses tees that are far longer than standard to help him get maximum distance and the right elevation for his monster drives, but his immense movement during his swing caused the ball and tee to oscillate.

The Long Drive World Series for 2018 has been expanded to 10 events all around the world. British powerhouse Joe Miller will be among the competitors

And, just as he was beginning his downswing, his ball started to topple off the tee milliseconds before impact, and the first blow smashed into the bottom of the screen.

Undeterred, Rob teed up another ball and the same thing happened - this time the ball hitting the screen a little higher and rebounding towards the camera crew and production staff!
