Thorbjorn Olesen continued his stirring comeback on his Masters debut after a third-round 68 got him back to level par for the tournament.
The Dane appeared to be heading for an early exit after an opening 78, but he capped a second-day 70 with a birdie at the last to squeeze into the weekend with nothing to spare.
Playing alongside 14-year-old Guan Tianlang, Olesen clawed his way further up the leaderboard with birdies at the first two holes, but bogeys at 10 and 11 undid his early good work.
But he responded in stunning fashion as he picked up five shots over the next four holes, including an eagle at the 13th, although another bogey at 16 halted his momentum.
"I actually thought I played well on the first day, but I didn't figure out the greens the first day," said Olesen.
"I hit a few bad drives on the back nine and got really punished and made a few doubles there.
"But I feel like I've played really well since and hit a lot of good drives and made it easy for myself."
