Butch Harmon feels Phil Mickelson is poised for a weekend push for Masters title number four, while one of Europe brightest talents can also emerge.

Mickelson is in the hunt for his sixth major title despite dropping three shots down the closing stretch and he will tee off alongside another former Masters champion Jordan Spieth.

Harmon feels the 46-year-old's experience means he cannot be ruled out, while Begium's Thomas Pieters, in a four-way tie for the lead, is also tipped by Butch for a weekend run at the title.

How things stands at Augusta

No one in this field knows this golf course like Phil Mickelson does - he has played more rounds on it, he has studied it, he has books on it.

Every hole, every green and every shot you can imagine - like when he had Bones [caddy Jim Mackay] hold the pin on 13, he is making sure that it doesn't hit the pin and go in the water.

We saw Rory hit a pin and it goes off - he thinks out all of these things.

Whether he shows up tomorrow and the greens are receptive or they run the sub air all night long, we are going to have to wait and see.

Thomas Pieters has got a beautiful golf swing and he learned so much from the Ryder Cup, he got so many points and played so well.

That prepares him for a chance at a major championship and I expect him to have a great weekend.
