Anthony Kim

USA

Player details
Name Anthony Kim
DOB June 19, 1985
Nationality American
Birthplace Los Angeles, USA
Height 5ft 10
Weight 160lbs
The 23-year-old from California qualified fifth after two wins and a stellar year in which he earned nearly $4million. Widely touted as the next Tiger Woods (will there ever be one?), Kim is not short on confidence and may relish the attention that a Ryder Cup brings. Not sure whether team uniform will allow him to wear his distinctive AK buckle belts, though. He is consistent rather than spectacular and an average drive on tour this year of 285 yards reflects his small stature (5ft 10in). He may not play in the fourballs and would be a useful foursomes partner, but rookies have hardly shone on the United States team in recent years.
