Runner-up behind Zach Johnson last year, Goosen led until dropping a shot at the 12th and could not match the Iowan's hot streak over the stretch. Must be a very live contender this year after four top-three finishes in the last six years at Augusta and impressed in finishing second at the WGC-CA Championship last month. He has the game and the touch on the greens to win and after coming so close so often, will feel Augusta owes him a Green Jacket (unfortunately Greg Norman felt the same). A truly global player, Goosen has won six times on the PGA Tour (including US Open victories in 2001 and '04) and won the European Order of Merit in 2001 and 2002. One slight worry for Goosen-backers is that the 39-year-old is not as prolific a winner as he once was. He last tasted success in America in 2004 and the last of his 14 European Tour victories was at the Qatar Open over a year ago.
