Injury-plagued Jose Maria Olazabal will attempt to relaunch his playing career at this week's Andalucia Open.
The Spaniard has been suffering with chronic rheumatoid arthritis and has been unable to play competitively thus far this year.
Olazabal has been working towards regaining full fitness, or least obtaining a level that will enable him to compete professionally once again, and will test his progress on home soil this week at the Aloha Golf Club.
However, the 42-year-old admits he will enter the European Tour event with some caution and warned against expecting too much too soon.
"This is just a test, nothing else," the two-times Masters champion stated.
"It does not mean that I am back to competition on a regular basis. I am going to test myself and see how I feel, how does my body react.
"I am coming to Aloha with doubts, I am not sure whether it will be a matter of just one week and then back home, or I can continue playing some more tournaments.
"I would not like people to get a wrong idea of the situation, I don't want anybody to think that I am back. I am not completely recovered, neither am I feeling a hundred per cent. This is just a test."
