Justin Rose
England's Justin Rose is confident he can maintain his impressive form at Augusta when he tees it up for the fourth time on Thursday.
Rose has made the cut on all his three previous visits and twice challenged for the title. In 2004 he led at halfway before slipping back to finish 22nd, while last year he was just one shot back on the 71st tee but finished bogey-bogey for a tie for fifth.
He is convinced his past experiences can only benefit him this year.
"I always feel like I have had a good time here at Augusta," the world number nine told Sky Sports News. "I have got myself on the leaderboard two out of the three times I have been here.
"That is valuable experience. This is the kind of golf course, where whether you have either a good day or a bad day you learn something from it.
"If you get on the wrong side of a hole you realise what you can't do the next time around. Certainly there is some trickery in the way you play this golf course."
Shell-shocked
Meanwhile, Australian Richard Green seemed almost shell-shocked after playing a practice round with Tiger Woods.
"It is difficult if you are not used to it," the world number 58 told Sky Sports News. "He plays in these conditions all the time. He's got hundreds of thousands of people following him every day, so you've got to get half used to it after a while.
"It is difficult when you are not used to it like me. I am used to going out there and there are two or three marshalls watching.
"You know your limits, basically. I guess that is what you pick up out of today. You know what you are capable of and you certainly know not to try and play his game."
Players who practised on Tuesday confirmed that Augusta is playing long after a weekend of heavy rain. Conditions later in the week are expected to be cloudy with possible thunderstorms on Saturday.
