Paul Casey admitted that his penalty call in the final round ended his hopes at The Masters.

Casey had started the final round on seven-under, but he fell away with a closing 79 in difficult conditions.

However Casey's cause was not helped when his ball moved on the sixth green just as he was about to putt.

And Casey admitted that incident had affected him.

"That took the wind out of my sails because it was so difficult out there," he said.

"Everybody's made mistakes and bogeys you can handle, doubles, it's like everybody's made one.

"But to have a golf ball move on you just when I thought 'make a par, right the ship and end the bogey streak', that's out of your control.

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I still had a great week. It's very disappointing and I'll go away and think about this, but I'll take the positives out of it as I always try to."
