Louis Oosthuizen has booked his place at the Masters by four-hundreths of a world ranking point.

The South African finished in a tie for 64th at Arnold Palmer Invitational to move to 50th in the world, the exact cut off for players to earn an invite via the rankings to the first major of the season.

Another player to secure his trip to the Augusta National was Thailand's Prayad Marksaeng, who closed with a round of 64 to finish second in the Asian Tour's Black Mountain Masters - a result that puts him 47th on the world list.

But there was bad news for experienced American Davis Love III as his missed cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational saw him slip down to 51st.

Love III began the week well placed at 47th in the rankings, but his poor display at Bay Hill allowed Oosthuizen, Marksaeng, Open de Andalucia winner Soren Kjeldsen and Australia's Matthew Goggin to overtake him.

A total of 96 players have now been confirmed for the season-opening major championship at the Augusta National from April 9-12.

The final invitation will go to the winner of this week's PGA Tour event in Houston.
