Anthony Kim admits he is "very excited" to be making his debut and insists watching on television does not do the Augusta National course justice.
Now established as a member of the world's top-20 following a highly successful 2008 season, Kim has earned a first invitation to Magnolia Lane.
The 23-year-old American claims the wait to tee it up at Augusta has proved worth the wait.
"I'm obviously very excited to be here, being my first Masters," he stated.
"I've waited a long time to get a tee-time here and finally be able to walk on the grounds is pretty special, so I'm very excited."
However, having had a first chance to test himself over the legendary lay-out, the world number 14 acknowledges that the treacherous greens are more than worthy of their fearsome reputation.
"TV doesn't do it justice and I've heard that from other guys because I thought if I played well early in the year last year I would get a tee-time here," he added.
"I didn't get the job done, but I watched it on TV and saw some of the putts and chips rolling off the greens and couldn't believe that some of the good chippers and putters were putting them off the green, so I knew I was in for a big surprise and it certainly shows here."
