After Arnold Palmer has hit a ceremonial drive as honorary starter, former champion Woosnam will hit the first shot at 8am after being paired with Chez Reavie and Briny Baird.
Woods will play alongside Stewart Cink and India's Jeev Milkha Singh for the opening two days. The trio will tee off at 1.52pm local time on Thursday.
The world number one will begin his campaign having not completed a full practice round due to inclement weather on Tuesday.
Only nine
He has confirmed he will play just nine holes on Wednesday and will not compete in the par-three competition that takes place on the same day.
"Yesterday a storm was coming in, so it made no sense," he said. "And I'm not going to play today because I don't think I can learn a whole lot."
Debutants Rory McIlroy and Anthony Kim follow Woods' group out at 2.03pm. The final trio is completed by Japanese teenager Ryo Ishikawa.
Phil Mickelson's bid to take over top spot in the world rankings gets underway at 3.45pm (BST) alongside Camilo Villegas and Jim Furyk.
Meanwhile, Padraig Harrington will begin his bid for a third successive major with Japan's Ryuji Imada and Canadian Mike Weir, the 2003 champion.
Gary Player will have Luke Donald, who was Jack Nicklaus' partner for his last ever round in The Open at St Andrews, and Stephen Ames for company in his 52nd and final Masters.
Lee Westwood is also joined by two greats of the game in Greg Norman, 54, and his 2004 Ryder Cup captain and dual Masters champion Bernhard Langer.
