Sir Maximilian is likely to attempt to secure another win at the Curragh before going for Group One sprinting honours in the Prix de l'Abbaye.
Trainer Tim Pitt has Longchamp's five-furlong dash on October 5 in mind for the five-year-old after he came with a devastating late run to claim the Listed Abergwaun Stakes at Ireland's premier venue.
The Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh during Irish Champion Stakes on September 14 is Pitt's favoured option, though there other possibilities for an Abbaye prep.
"He's come out of that race fine and he's having a nice break out in the paddock," said the Shropshire-based handler.
"He will go to a choice of either the Flying Five back at the Curragh, or a Group Three at Longchamp the same day.
"There's also a Group Three the following week but he's more likely to go for the Flying Five.
"He'll have an entry in the Abbaye. That's his main end-of-season target.
"He went up 3lb to 108, so he's got to go for these types of races."
