McCoy took little time to get among the winners as At Fishers Cross landed the opening novices' hurdle on the card.
The JP McManus owned gelding had shown ability when previously trained by Charlie Swan in Ireland and was making his debut on this occasion for Rebecca Curtis.
Having travelled well throughout the contest, the 4/7 favourite was shaken up with a couple of flights to jump and he comfortably saw off the attentions of Copper Birch.
The partnership were to quickly register a double through Boyfromnowhere just half-an-hour later.
The 17-times champion made the race a thorough staying test for his rivals and despite edging right at his obstacles, the five-year-old had enough in hand to make all at odds of 6/4.
The victory provided McCoy his 50th winner at the Carmarthenshire venue, and the rider, who rode a treble at the track's opening fixture, was presented with a painting of his first winner that day, Sea Wall, by racecourse chairman Dai Walters.
