Donald McCain is still to decide whether to unleash Overturn again at Sandown on Saturday as he juggles his options with the star novice.
Hugely impressive on his recent steeplechasing debut at the track, Overturn is one of eight entries revealed on Tuesday for the Henry VIII Novice Chase.
However stable jockey Jason Maguire is likely to be required to ride at Aintree, where Grand National hero Ballabriggs is an intended starter in the Becher Chase, leaving McCain still to commit Overturn for the race.
Furthermore, going conditions may be against Overturn, with clerk of the course Andrew Cooper admitting that the weather forecast could see softer ground by the weekend.
"The chase course is soft, good to soft in places, but we are expecting 5mm-plus of sleety rain on Thursday into Friday and it could be soft by the time we race on Friday and Saturday," he said.
The highly-promising Captain Conan is another interesting entry at Sandown after making a fine start to his own fencing career at Cheltenham last month, while Hinterland, Third Intention and Tap Night are the other likely main contenders.
