Also a stakes winner on the Flat, the six-year-old Unaccompanied made a fine return to the jumping game when chasing home the brilliant Hurricane Fly in the Istabraq Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown over the Christmas period.
The Moyglare Stud-owned mare will be tackling two and a half miles for the first time at Prestbury Park on March 12, but Weld is hopeful her stamina will last out.
Speaking to sponsors OLBG, the master of Rosewell House said: "The plan is to run her in the OLBG Mares' Hurdle.
"It will be new territory running over the distance for the first time but you would have to be hopeful that she will stay. Quevega is obviously an exceptional mare and stands out once again but it would be nice to think that Unaccompanied could make a race of it with her.
"It is probably more likely that she will go straight to Cheltenham but a lot will depend on what the weather does in the coming weeks. A racecourse gallop may be an option instead of a race but we'll see how things go."
The Willie Mullins-trained Quevega is a best priced 4/6 favourite to win the race for a remarkable fifth successive year, with Unaccompanied available at 6/1 with Sky Bet.
