The improving seven-year-old claimed the Grade Three handicap at Kempton on Saturday by two lengths and has four entries at the Festival in March.
"He's in four handicaps there but this will rule him out of two," Fry told the Telegraph.
"He's still in the JLT (Specialty Handicap Chase) and Byrne Group (Plate) and we'll see how he is reassessed by the handicapper on Thursday.
"It's only a fortnight away and we'll let him tell us, but as far as we were concerned Saturday was the plan."
