Possibly taking him on again are the respective second and third from 12 months ago, Chapoturgeon and Oscar Delta.
Salsify lost his first two starts of this season to Tammys Hill but gained his revenge earlier this month at Leopardstown when getting the better of his old rival by a neck.
Tammys Hill was also beaten at Fairyhouse last weekend but still holds an entry in the Foxhunter.
Tricky Trickster could represent Paul Nicholls, who won the race in 2004 and 2005, while Cottage Oak, impressive on his last two starts, is well fancied.
Former Festival winner Cloudy Lane and 2005 Triumph Hurdle runner-up Faasel are also among the entry.
