Alain de Royer-Dupre's Dalakhani colt secured his first career victory at Maisons-Laffitte back in May before finishing fourth behind Flintshire at Chantilly.
He met the same opponent in last Saturday's Grand Prix de Paris and while he was unable to turn the form around, on this occasion he got much closer, beaten just a length and a half into second place.
Now he has proven he can be competitive at the highest level, a return to Paris in October is the obvious target for Manndawi, but connections have not yet decided where he will run beforehand.
Georges Rimaud, racing manager for Manndawi's owner the Aga Khan, said:
"We were very pleased with his performance. If the ground had been a little bit softer, that may have given him an advantage, but I don't know.
"He ran very well and we are pleased with the horse moving forward. With a horse like him, the goal has to be the Arc.
"I'm not sure where he will run before that. It has only been a week since the race, so we need to discuss things with the trainer.
"There are the Arc trials (in September), but Alain might want to run somewhere else before that, so we will see."
