Evan Williams waits on Lancetto plan
Evan Williams will only pitch Lancetto into the Clarence House Chase at Ascot on Saturday week if the race cuts up.

The Vale of Glamorgan trainer gave the nine-year-old, a winner over the course and distance last month, an entry in the feature in the hope it might yield few runners to increase Lancetto's chances of getting a slice of the good prize money on offer.
"It looks too hot a race. I put him in because I thought it just might cut up, but it looks like being a warm contest," said Williams.
"He will only run if it cuts up. He won't just run for the sake of it.
"He's gone up in the weights and he can't be a well-handicapped horse. I've got a good 7lb claimer in the yard, Conor Ring, we might run him in a nice handicap somewhere again with Conor taking 7lb off.
"Conor gave One In A Milan a fantastic ride in the Welsh National and he's well up to riding in those bigger races now, so that is something we can do."
