The latter had won at the last three Festivals, but he could only finish fifth behind Lord Windermere in a most eventful renewal of the blue riband.
He returned to Seven Barrows unscathed, but Henderson has yet to formulate a gameplan following his Gold Cup reverse.
Stablemate Triolo D'Alene travelled well for a long way in the race before he weakened into 10th place under Tony McCoy.
The Hennessy winner is, however, still on track to compete in the Crabbies Grand National at Aintree on April 5.
Henderson said: "All is absolutely fine with both horses. There are no dramas with Bobs and Triolo, but there were obviously plenty of dramas in the race.
"Triolo is still on course for the National, but we need to think about various things with Bobs."
