Racing UK are sponsoring the Glorious Goodwood Top Jockey Award, for which Richard Hughes is 11/8 favourite with Sky Bet to retain his title for the fifth consecutive year.
The leading jockey over the five-day festival, which starts on Tuesday, July 29, will receive a subscription to Racing UK, a £1,000 donation to the charity of his/her choice, and a deluxe Goodwood hamper.
As leading rider from last year’s meeting, Hughes will wear the Racing UK blue and white armband for the opening race on Tuesday, the bet365.com handicap.
Clive Cottrell, Racing UK’s Marketing Director, said: “Racing UK is delighted to sponsor the Glorious Goodwood Top Jockey Award for the fifth year running.
"We have been a long-standing supporter of the jockeys, primarily through our sponsorships and continued close association with the Professional Jockeys Association. We’re always keen to get involved with the sport’s real ambassadors.”
Richard Hughes's great rival, Ryan Moore, is the 13-8 second favourite to pick up the Racing UK-sponsored award.
Michael Shinners, Sky Bet Racing PR Manager, said: “As the prices suggest we fully expect Richard Hughes and Ryan Moore to dominate proceedings on the Sussex Downs.
"The firepower that they can both call upon means it will be a shock if the winner comes from outside these two in the Racing UK Top Jockey Award at Glorious Goodwood"
Racing UK (Sky 432/Virgin 536/Freeview 231/UPC 411) is the only place to see all 35 races from Glorious Goodwood. Viewers can watch on the move with Racing UK Anywhere, which enables subscribers to catch all the racing on three platforms for the price of one. See racinguk.com/anywhere for more.
