Nicky Henderson has sent a strong raiding party to Scotland for trials day at Musselburgh on Sunday.
Each of his runners on the biggest day of the year at the Edinburgh track have breezed, worked or schooled satisfactorily this week before departing Seven Barrows.
Perhaps the most interesting of the bunch is ADEUPAS D'YCY, who has his attention turned to hurdling having won a bumper and finished runner-up in a Listed event.
He is considered one of the brightest four-year-old prospects in the yard and has schooled in engaging style ahead of his run in the juvenile hurdle, a race that could elevate him into Triumph Hurdle contention.
LYVIUS has progressed from race to race, and after scoring well at Kempton last time will have plenty of followers in the Scottish County Hurdle.
He seems a much more complete individual and goes into battle with his tail up, having looked sharp and alert in his midweek spin.
TOP OF THE RANGE has a bright future in front of him and hinted at that with an accomplished performance on his first run over fences at Ascot.
He jumped well and put the race to bed with a sparkling turn of foot. An effort of similar éclat should see him safe home in the big novice chase on the card.
MALT MASTER and MISTER DILLON form a twin spearhead in the three-mile handicap hurdle.
Doncaster winner Mister Dillon breezed beautifully before embarking for Scotland, while Malt Master ran better than the bare evidence suggests in a hot contest at Sandown last time.
MEDIEVAL CHAPEL showed promise on his reappearance at Ascot and was not given a hard time when the cause was lost.
The former point-to-pointer has both schooled and worked well ahead of the Scottish Trial Hurdle.
