Khan: Business is business
WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan admits he is prepared to put friendship aside to fight Ricky Hatton.
Khan, who takes on mandatory challenger Dmitriy Salita in Newcastle next Saturday night, believes he is in the right place at the right time to fight the former world champion.
"It is not nonsense, it is a fight that could happen because we are both at the same weights, I am a world champion now, Ricky has come back into the game again from retirement and he wants another shot at a world title," he said.
"Let's just see how things go - it is all up to the promotion side of it. It would be a big British fight, a fight that the British fans want to see.
"It is just a shame we are at the same weight because we are good friends. But business is business and sometimes you have to fight your friends."
