He surpassed drop-goal and points records en route to landing the title in Pretoria with the Bulls. After finally being instated as his franchise's number one playmaker since Derick Hougaard headed north to Leicester, Steyn has matured into a dictating playmaker who possesses a mammoth boot from both tee and hand that pins his opposition back. Very much the people's choice for a Springbok squad place alongside Ruan Pienaar and it will be interesting to see how he goes during the Test series.
