Ireland Women were on the wrong end of a superb century from Australia captain Meg Lanning in the ICC World Twenty20 match at Sylhet Stadium.
Lanning made 126 off just 65 balls, her innings including 18 fours and four sixes, to power her side to 191-4 after she had won the toss and opted to bat first.
Delissa Kimmince contributed 35 to the total, the opener helping put on a second-wicket stand worth 86 in 62 deliveries.
Ireland's reply suffered a poor start when opener Emma Flanagan was dismissed for a duck in the second over, caught off the bowling of Jess Jonassen (1-19).
Clare Shillington (22) and Isobel Joyce - who top-scored with 28 - put on 48 for the second wicket, but Australia were always in full control.
Ellyse Perry claimed 2-17 off her three overs and there were also two wickets for Erin Osborne as Ireland finished up on 113-7, meaning they slipped to a 78-run defeat.
