NatWest Pro40 - Division Two
Leicestershire Foxes 291-5 Innings Complete (J du Toit 144) v Glamorgan Dragons 292-6 (M J Powell 81)
Glamorgan beat Leicestershire by 4 wkts
Mark Wallace struck a six off the penultimate ball as Glamorgan chased down 292 to beat Leicestershire by four wickets at Colwyn Bay.
The Glamorgan gloveman entered the crease with the Dragons needing 64 from the final five overs, but with home supporters accepting defeat, Wallace produced the unthinkable.
The 26-year-old got the required runs down to 24 from the final two overs and then 17 from the last six balls.
It was a stunning reply which leaves Leicestershire still looking for their first win in four Pro40 outings. Glamorgan have now won two of their first three matches.
The Glamorgan win rather took the shine of Leicestershire's own batting efforts, which saw Jacques du Toit register his maiden one-day century - 144 from 119 balls with five sixes and 14 fours.
The Foxes raced to 101-1 in the opening 15 overs as the Glamorgan seamers struggled to restrain the openers and especially Matthew Boyce, who made 43 from 44 balls.
Du Toit and Dillon Du Preez carried on the assault to set an imposing chase which appeared to be beyond the reach of the home batsman.
Glamorgan started their innings needing over seven runs an over and the rate gradually increased despite David Hemp setting a useful platform at the top of the innings with 43 from 44 balls.
Michael Powell (81 from 77 balls) and a skilful 45 from 29 balls by Ben Wright set up Wallace's final victory assault.
