Warwickshire are without injured captain Darren Maddy for the trip to Gloucestershire in Division Two of the LV County Championship.
Maddy suffered a broken thumb in his side's last Championship outing against Middlesex, and will be out for another month.
Left-hand batsman Ian Westwood, who was captain in Monday's Friends Provident Trophy win over Leicestershire, is set to be named skipper again while Navdeep Poonia replaces Maddy at the top of the order.
Veteran leg-spinner Ian Salisbury is also out with a calf problem and there is also no place for South Africa fast bowler Monde Zondeki.
Seam bowling duo Neil Carter and Chris Woakes come in - the latter making his championship debut.
England duo Ian Bell and Tim Ambrose are unavailable.
