Friends Provident Trophy - Group A
The Rose Bowl
Nottinghamshire 202 (W I Jefferson 93, P J Franks 50, A D Mascarenhas 4-39) v Hampshire 203-4 (M J Lumb 57)
Hampshire beat Nottinghamshire by 6 wkts
Dimitri Mascarenhas returned from the IPL to lead Hampshire Hawks to a six-wicket victory over Nottinghamshire Outlaws.
Mascarenhas, captaining his county for the first time this season following his stint with the Rajasthan Royals, claimed 4-39 as Nottinghamshire were skittled for 202 after opting to bat first at the Rose Bowl.
It could have been worse for the Outlaws, who recovered from 50-6 thanks to a 94-run, seventh-wicket stand between Will Jefferson and Paul Franks.
Franks made exactly 50 before being one of Billy Taylor's (3-40) three victims, while Jefferson was last out for 93, bowled by Dominic Cork (3-13) from the first ball of the final over.
Opener Michael Lumb (57) and number four Michael Carberry (42no) ensured Hampshire overhauled their target with 6.4 overs to spare.
The result puts Hampshire top of Group A, one point clear of Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire.
