Kenya 285-9 (S O Tikolo 102, A Obanda 71, C B Mpofu 6-52) v Zimbabwe 190 (S Matsikenyeri 56)
Kenya beat Zimbabwe by 95 runs
Steve Tikolo smashed 102 off 99 balls as Kenya bounced back from a heavy defeat to Ireland to beat Zimbabwe by 95 runs in Nairobi.
The victory was shaped by a scintillating third wicket partnership of 158 between Tikolo and Alex Obanda (71) as the pair helped propel Kenya up to 285-9.
Zimbabwe's response was led by a brisk 56 from Stuart Matsikenyeri, however the talented all-rounder was left with too much to do as Kenya cruised to a comprehensive win.
After winning the toss, Kenya lost two quick wickets when Chris Mpofu followed up Seren Williams' run-out dismissal to claim the first of his six wickets to dismiss David Obuya for nine.
However, Kenya's response to the double blow was emphatic as Tikolo and Obanda took up the mantle with a match-winning partnership.
Tikolo's third one-day international century included 12 fours and two sixes as Zimbabwe were set an unlikely 286 for victory. Mpofu starred with the ball as he ended with 6-52 from his 10 overs.
Zimbabwe fell well short of their target as the continual fall of wickets prevented the Africans from building up any momentum.
Hiren Varaiya finished with figures of 3-53 from his 10-over allocation as Kenya bounced back from their heavy defeat to Ireland on Saturday in ruthless fasion.
