Over 9 - NZ 53/1 (Guptill 18, Williamson 13)
Ishant Sharma comes into the attack, first bowling change from India. Guptill gets an inside edge on the first ball and gets it to the fine leg boundary for four. Ishant bowls it down leg and it is called a wide. Guptill plays it to fine leg again, this time he gets a single. New Zealand 53 for 1 after 9 overs.
Over 8 - NZ 47/1 (Guptill 13, Williamson 13)
Williamson pulls it to deep square leg for a couple of runs. Williamson flicks it to deep square leg again, this time he manages to get two runs. Williamson pulls the last ball to the deep midwicket boundary. Eight runs from the over.
Over 7 - NZ 39/1 (Guptill 13, Williamson 5)
Bhuvi starts the over with a bouncer to Williamson. Williamson then pushes the ball through midwicket for a couple of runs. Guptill rocks on his back foot and punches it through the covers for four, difficult shot to play, but he does it brilliantly. Guptill hits it in the air and through extra cover for four.
Over 6 - NZ 28/1 (Guptill 5, Williamson 2)
Ryder top edges it and it goes for four to midwicket, it looked like it was a catch but the ball carried away to the boundary. WICKET! Ryder was trying to put more pressure on Shami, goes for the upper cut and edges the short ball to Dhoni who takes an easy catch. India get their first wicket, Williamson comes out to bat. Williamson takes a quick single to mid on to get off the mark. New Zealand 28 for 1.
Over 5 - NZ 21/0 (Guptill 4, Ryder 16)
Ryder pushes it to third man for a single, was not in control of that shot but gets a single. Just a single from the over, New Zealand 21 for no loss.
Over 4 - NZ 20/0 (Guptill 4, Ryder 15)
Ryder punches it through the covers for a couple of runs, good timing from the left-hander. Ryder drives it square of the wicket for four through point and cover, Ryder gets his 2nd boundary. Four more from Ryder, a fuller delivery from Shami and Ryder drives it through point again for four. A bouncer from Shami called wide for height. Ryder pushes the ball to fine leg for a single, Guptill on strike for the last ball.
Over 3 - NZ 8/0 (Guptill 4, Ryder 4)
Brilliant bowling from Bhuvi, Guptill plays out the maiden. Decent start from India so far.
Over 2 - NZ 8/0 (Guptill 4, Ryder 4)
Shami starts for India from the other end. Guptill plays out 4 dots and then dabs one down to fine leg for a single. Just one from the over.
Over 1 - NZ 7/0 (Guptill 3, Ryder 4)
Guptill on strike, Ryder at the other end and Bhuvi will start with the ball for India. First ball, Guptill hits it back to Bhuvi who almost takes a brilliant return catch. A couple of slips waiting for the edge. Guptill inside edges it to deep square leg for a couple of runs. A single to Guptill, an outside edge that flies towards third man. Ryder ends the over with a boundary through point, New Zealand 7 for no loss.
India have won the toss and have elected to bowl first. India remain unchanged, and Mills comes in for Milne who is injured. The weather is fine for now, with a forecast for showers later on.
