Captain Chris Woakes continued his fine all-round form by completing a big hundred in England Lions' 461 all out on day two of the third and final unofficial Test against Sri Lanka A in Colombo.
Woakes (137), unbeaten on 84 alongside Scott Borthwick overnight, went on to finish with 16 fours from 232 balls.
His sixth-wicket partner Borthwick fell just a single short of his hundred when left-arm seamer Vishwa Fernando had the all-rounder lbw to end a stand of 197.
Woakes was eventually seventh out, to Test off-spinner Suraj Randiv - who finished with figures of 5-107.
Sri Lanka A's batsmen also demonstrated their liking for the Premadasa Stadium surface, closing on 166-1 - with Test opener Upul Tharanga unbeaten on 102.
Graham Onions (1-31) was the Lions' only successful bowler, trapping Dimuth Karunaratne lbw for 11.
The tourists lead the series 1-0.
