SA win by 22 runs
SA have won the 2nd T20 by 22 runs and have won the series 2-0 with one more T20 to be played. They got to 145 from their 20 overs, thanks to Duminy and Miller and then a disciplined bowling performance took them over the line.
Over 20 SL 122/7 (Perera 22, Senanayake 1)
A swing and a miss from Perera, good come back from Parnell after being expensive in his initial overs. A couple of runs for Perera, plays it over the in field, but manages to get only two for his efforts. Perera gets a couple down the ground as he hits it past the bowler. A single for Perera, but South Africa win by 22 runs.
Over 19 SL 118/7 (Perera 17, Senanayake 1)
Morkel will bowl his last over and the second last over of the innings. Six, Kulasekara swings and hits a six with the wind over long on. It was a clean shot and the wind just carries it over the ropes. WICKET! Kulasekara caught behind, another wild swing from Kulasekara and just manages to get a thick outside edge on it. Senanayake walks in to bat. Perera gets the strikes and a boundary through the off side, good shot and gets some much needed runs. Morkel bowls an expensive over, but a good one under the circumstances, SL need 28 runs from 6 balls.
Over 18 SL 106/6 (Perera 12, Kulasekara 5)
Parnel brought back in to the attack, and a play and a miss from Kulasekara after Perera takes a single. Duminy has not bowled a single over today, wonder what that is about. A leg bye and then a single. And a single to end the over, Sri Lanka need 40 from 12 balls to keep the series alive.
Over 17 SL 101/6 (Perera 10, Kulasekara 2)
Tahir to bowl the 17th over. Perera gets a single to long on, SA won't mind Kulasekara being on strike. Another single, brings Perera back on strike. Perera goes through the off side, the sweeper keeps it down to a single. A single to end the over, SL need 45 from 18 balls.
Over 16 SL 97/6 (Perera 8, Kulasekara 0)
Morkel comes back into the attack. WICKET! What a catch, Wiese on the circle takes a few steps back, jumps full stretch and holds on to a great catch to get rid of Sanga, Morkel gets the wicket. Kulasekara comes out to bat. Perera edges it past the keeper for four, lucky runs for Sri Lanka as the required rate is over 11 per over. A swing and a miss from Perera. After 16 overs, SL need 50 from 4 overs to win.
Over 15 SL 90/5 (Perera 1, Sangakkara 39)
Wiese continues, Sanga works him away for a single. The run rate is over 10 and going towards 11 per over now. Another good ball from Wiese, just keeping things simple, cramping Sanga for space who only gets a single. WICKET! The pressure causes a wicket and AB does no drop those on the boundary. Mathews goes for one and Wiese gets his first international wicket. The explosive, Thisara Perera comes into the attack. Perera gets off the mark with a single through the covers. A single to end the over, good one from Wiese.
Over 14 SL 85/4 (Mathews 0, Sangakkara 36)
The ball falls just short of Tahir who was running in from fine leg, the wind making it a difficult chance. Thirimanne gets a couple. Parnel just keeping it outside the off and Thirimanne misses. Then he gets a couple on the leg side. WICKET! Parnell bowls him! Thirimanne swings and misses and Parnell hits the off stump. Mathews is the new man in. Just four off the over and the wicket.
Over 13 SL 81/3 (Thirimanne 14, Sangakkara 36)
Sanga works it into the leg side and wants two, and makes it safely in the end thanks to a wide through. A single from the last ball making his 6 runs from the over, required rate over 9 runs per over now.
Over 12 SL 75/3 (Thirimanne 12, Sangakkara 32)
Wiese continues and Sanga hits it straight down the ground, past the bowler for four, hit like a rocket! A single to switch the strike. A good over for SL, 8 runs from it.
Over 11 SL 67/3 (Thirimanne 9, Sangakkara 27)
Sanga goes over the top as Tahir bowls a googly, but Sanga is safe as it lands well short of Davids. Another good over from Tahir, just four from it.
Over 10 SL 63/3 (Thirimanne 7, Sangakkara 23)
Wiese continues and Sanga works him away for a couple of runs. Thirimanne gets one on his pads and flicks it to fine leg for four. After 10 overs, SL 63 for 3.
Over 9 SL 51/3 (Thirimanne 2, Sangakkara 18)
Tahir comes into the attack. WICKET! Kusal Perera goes, tries to reverse sweep Tahir and is caught in front of his stumps. Thirimanne walks out into the middle. A string of singles to end the over, a good one from Tahir.
Over 8 SL 47/2 (K Perera 21, Sangakkara 16)
The wind has picked up, as Wiese comes into the attack. Sanga defends the first and then takes a single. A good start from Wiese, just three from his over, pushing the required rate over 8 per over.
Over 7 SL 44/2 (K Perera 20, Sangakkara 14)
Perera pulls it to fine leg for a single. Just a couple of runs from the Tsotsobe over, he finishes his spell for the day, 4 overs, 2 wickets for 17 runs.
Over 6 SL 42/2 (K Perera 19, Sangakkara 13)
Sanga hits it square of the wicket and gets four, good shot, he hit it over the in field. Parnell gets the Sanga treatment again, Sanga edges it to third man for another boundary. Another boundary, three in a row, Sanga inside edges it to the boundary past the keeper, unlucky for Parnell. Good start by Sanga, SL 42 for 2 after 6.
Over 5 SL 30/2 (K Perera 19, Sangakkara 1)
Tsotsobe continues, WICKET! Chandimal slashes at it and is caught behind and Tsotsobe strikes again as de Kock takes a good catch. Sangakkara comes out ot bat. and gets a single to bring Perera on strike. Perera top edges it and the ball lands between Parnell and Wiese. A good over for SA, the wicket and three runs from it, required rate over 7.5
Over 4 SL 27/1 (K Perera 17, Chandimal 2)
Perera swings and it goes for four straight down the ground. Morkel driven. Another boundary, Perera, drives it through extra cover for four. Morkel comes back strongly, just those two boundaries from the over. The required rate hovering around 7.4 runs per over.
Over 3 SL 19/1 (K Perera 9, Chandimal 2)
Chandimal just pushes the short ball into the leg side for a single. Perera chips it over the in field and the wind takes it away from Parnell, it was a chance. After 3 overs, SL 19 for 1.
Over 2 SL 15/1 (K Perera 6, Chandimal 1)
Chandimal walks out to bat. Morne Morkel comes into the attack and a wide too far outside off. A swing and a miss from Perera. Perera chips it over midwicket for four, and then takes a quick single, seven from the over in total, SL 15 for 1 after 2.
Over 1 SL 8/1 (K Perera 1, )
Tsotsobe to start with the ball and Perera inside edges it to fine leg for a single. Mahela hits it over mid on for a couple of runs, his usual chip shot. A wide from Tsotsobe, too far outside off. Mahela flicks it on the leg side for four, another chip shot, goes to the deep square leg boundary. WICKET! Tsotsobe strikes, Mahela has to go, caught behind.
Over 20 SA 145/6 (Wiese 7, Parnell 10)
Final over of the innings, Malinga starts it with a wide outside off. A couple of singles off the first two balls. Parnell walks across his stumps and tries to angle it away to the square leg boundary, but misses it completely. Hit straight down the ground and Wiese gets two. Parnell hits it straight down the ground for four, a good shot. After 20 overs, SA are 145 for 6.
Over 19 SA 134/6 (Wiese 6, Parnell 1)
Kulasekara comes back into the attack to bowl the 19th over. A good yorker to start the over and Miller scampers through for a single. A couple of runs to Wiese, Chandimal misses an easy catch at extra cover, points out that he lost the ball in the light. Miller gone, Chandimal takes a great catch running backwards and Miller's handy knock comes to an end. Wayne Parnell is the new man in. A very good over for Sri Lanka, SA 134 for 6 after 19 overs.
Over 18 SA 128/5 (Wiese 2, Miller 35)
Malinga comes back into the attack, Miller to face him. Miller drives it through the covers for four, Kulasekara misses it on the boundary, poor fielding. A single to Miller to point and Wiese plays it to mid on for a single. A yorker from Malinga and Miller hits it through the covers for a single. A quick single to long off, Wiese gets the ball past the mid off fielder. Two overs to go, SA 128 for 5.
Over 17 SA 119/5 (Wiese 0, Miller 28)
Miller hits it in the air towards long off but the wind drags it back, they get a couple. Six, he does this consistently, another six straight down the ground for Miller. A couple of runs, Miller guides the ball through the midwicket region. Three over to go, SA 119 for 5.
Over 16 SA 106/5 (Wiese 0, Miller 15)
A couple of runs as Miller plays it off his pads for to deep square leg. Senanayake comes back into the attack and picks up Duminy! WICKET! Duminy comes down the pitch and gets a top edge, Mathews takes a good catch, SA lose their 5th wicket. Miller gets a single through the covers. Wiese is the new man, another new face for SA. Four overs to go, SA 106 for 5.
Over 15 SA 102/4 (Duminy 30, Miller 10)
Miller gets a couple on the leg side, good running again. Miller walks down the pitch and hits a six over long on, 'if it is in the arc, it goes out of the park'. A single to follow the six, good batting from Miller. Five overs to go, SA 102 for 4.
Over 14 SA 91/4 (Duminy 29, Miller 1)
Mendis continues, Duminy sweeps and almost drags it back on to his stumps. A four and a single from the over.
Over 13 SA 86/4 (Duminy 25, de Villiers 8)
A couple of singles to start the over. Then Duminy just drops the ball and runs, AB does well to get to the danger end safely. AB walks down the pitch, swivels and pulls this away for four. A chance of a run out here, AB drops it to midwicket and runs a suicide single, there is a direct hit and AB is short of his ground. WICKET! SA lose their 4th wicket. Unnecessary at this point in the match.
Over 12 SA 77/3 (Duminy 22, de Villiers 8)
Mendis continues, Duminy comes down the pitch and hits it straight down the ground for four, confident shot from Duminy. Then late cuts it to third man for a couple of runs. Duminy cuts again and beats the short third man and gets another boundary. Then he edges it past the keeper to third man again for three runs, Sanga missed the ball, as did Duminy. A single to end a good over for SA, 14 runs from it.
Over 11 SA 62/3 (Duminy 9, de Villiers 7)
Mathews comes back into the attack. A chip shot from Duminy to deep square leg for a single. A quiet over from Mathews, just three from it.
Over 10 SA 59/3 (Duminy 6, de Villiers 6)
AB drives it through the point region for a couple of runs, good timing from AB and the sweeper does well to stop the boundary. Mendis into the attack to bowl the 10th over. A single to end the 10th over, SA 59 for 3.
Over 9 SA 53/3 (Duminy 5, de Villiers 2)
Malinga comes back into the attack. A couple of runs to Faf as he angles this to fine leg, good running from this pair. Faf is done by the in dipper and is bowled, WICKET! good change from Chandimal to bring Malinga back and SA lose their captain. AB de Villiers comes out to bat. AB takes a single to long on. Good running, Duminy picks up a quick two, hitting the ball into the off side and running hard. A single through the off side for Duminy, brings AB back on strike for the last ball.
Over 8 SA 46/2 (de Kock 2, du Plessis 10)
Senanayake continues, de Kock misses the slower and straighter one to start the over. A wide from Senanayake, de Kock tries to hit it but misses, and it goes for four. WICKET! de Kock stumped by Sanga, he came down the pitch again and is stumped. JP Duminy, who batted so well in the last T20, walks out to join his captain. Duminy angles it to fine leg for a couple to end the over.
Over 7 SA 39/1 (de Kock 19, du Plessis 10)
Mathews into the attack and de Kock starts off by playing it to midwicket for no run. A couple of runs to de Kock through midwicket, and then he slices it down to third man for a single. Average first innings score here is 132. Six, lofted over long on and Faf gets a six over Mahela to end the over.
Over 6 SA 30/1 (de Kock 16, du Plessis 4)
A good over so far from Senanayake, Faf is looks to score but needs to spend time on the crease. A couple of singles from the last two balls, It is the end of the power play and the Proteas are 30 for 1.
Over 5 SA 28/1 (de Kock 15, du Plessis 3)
Kulasekara continues, de Kock play it wide of mid on for four, then flicks it off his hip for four through the midwicket region. After five overs, South Africa are 28 for 1.
Over 4 SA 19/1 (de Kock 7, du Plessis 2)
Senanayake into the attack, and immediately troubles de Kock, who edges four wide of the solitary slip fielder. Another day, and that might have gone to hand. De Kock, regardless, is determined to use his feet to the spinner.
Over 3 SA 14/1 (de Kock 3, du Plessis 1)
WICKET! Kulasekara strikes. Davids is cleaned up. He didn't get forward - and paid the price. The ball jagged back off the seam, sniping through a pretty large gate. Du Plessis in now. Sangakkara still standing up to the stumps.
Over 2 SA 11/0 (de Kock 3, Davids 7)
Two slips in place for pace ace Malinga - two men back on the hook too. Perhaps de Kock will be fooled into thinking he is going to get a short ball. He doesn't, instead tending to a trio through the covers. Davids, meanwhile, handles a couple of full tosses - which are effectively slower balls gone wrong.
Over 1 SA 6/0 (de Kock 1, Davids 4)
Kulasekara takes the first over and finds some telling in-swing to the right-handers. A very heavy wind is certainly helping the lateral movement. Davids welcomes a couple of twos thanks to some swift footwork, but is soon kept rooted to his crease, as wicketkepeer Sangakkara decides to stand up to the stumps.

Umpires Martinesz and Palliyaguruge, batsmen de Kock and Davids and the Sri Lankan XI head out to the middle in front of an expectant crowd.
Sri Lanka make two changes, benching Tillakaratne Dilshan and Jeevan Mendis and bringing in Mahela Jayawardene and Nuwan Kulasekara. The Proteas, meanwhile, are unchanged.
