Gareth Andrew hammered 65 not out off 32 balls to see Worcestershire Royals to a one-wicket win over Warwickshire Bears in the Friends Life t20.
Andrew came to the crease with the Royals on 80-5 in the 10th over of their pursuit of a 185 victory target.
The former Somerset all-rounder struck four fours and four sixes, including one off Neil Carter (0-27) to finish the game from the first ball of the final over - Worcestershire having needed 51 from the last five.
The match ended in near darkness at Edgbaston and by that stage Andrew had only last man Jack Shantry (0no) left for company.
Bears seamer Steffan Piolet claimed 3-29 in a losing cause.
Earlier, William Porterfield's half-century had laid the platform for an imposing Warwickshire total of 184-6.
The Ireland captain dispatched seven fours and two sixes in his 34-ball 54 before being one of spinner Shakib Al Hasan's two victims.
The innings finished with a flurry of boundaries from seventh-wicket pair Tim Ambrose (44no) and Chris Woakes (17no), who added 65 from the final 35 balls.
The result moves Worcestershire above Warwickshire into second place in the North Group, three points behind pace setters Nottinghamshire.
