Holland stunned Yorkshire by claiming a dramatic two-run victory in their Group A Clydesdale Bank 40 opener at Headingley.
The international minnows overcame a late cameo from Ryan Sidebottom to defend their 190-8 total in the final ball of the match.
Yorkshire looked dead and buried after crashing to 54-6 in reply, however Rich Pyrah (69), Adil Rashid (42 not out) and Sidebottom (29 off 14 balls) threatened to pull off a dramatic comeback.
Sidebottom and Rashid needed to muster 19 from Bradley Kruger's final over, and, despite two sixes from the left-arm seamer, Holland held their nerve.
The visitors themselves were in trouble after losing the toss before Shane Mott, in at number eight, made a defiant 50 not out down the order.
His knock proved the difference between the sides after Sidebottom (2-29) and Rashid (2-20) had both taken two wickets to help reduce Holland to 112-7.
