An eighth straight league win, with goaltender Stephen Murphy posting 30 saves for his third shutout of the season, sees them closing in rapidly on their third regular season title.
Jeff Mason struck the first in the opening quarter and although Hull kept it tight they were ultimately undone by late goals from Dustin Whitecotton and Chris Higgins.
Belfast lead the league by 21 points from Sheffield, who have played two games less, while Hull hover 10 points above the drop zone after three straight defeats.
For Stingrays it was the third time this season they have been blanked and they now only have one win from their last seven.
