The Brownlee brothers came up short as Spain's Mario Mola won the ITU World Triathlon World Series event in London.

Mola pipped South African Richard Murray in a sprint finish in Hyde Park, with Joao Pereira of Portugal fourth ahead of Britain's Olympic champion.
Jonny Brownlee, beaten in dramatic fashion close to the line in last year's event, had to settle for fifth with 2013 winner Javier Gomez - the man in form after three victories already this season - coming sixth.
The event had been billed as a clash between the Brownlees and Gomez but the shorter sprint distance over which it was held brought other contenders into play.
Alistair Brownlee, the winner in London in 2009 and 2011 as well as at the 2012 Olympics, did hit the front with fewer than 2km remaining, but Mola and Murray responded to his push and eventually came past him.
Alistair and Jonny Brownlee had been well placed in seventh and eighth respectively after the opening swim, with Mola at that point down in 22nd.
However, the field remained tightly bunched throughout and the Spaniard was able to move into a challenging position early in the 5km run before eventually finishing things off with his final kick to the line.
