Smackdown is Jericho!
That’s right, the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla – no doubt with his trademark blond quiff and highly-bulbed jacket – will appear on the blue brand on Friday night for the first time in nearly a year.
Y2J returned to the WWE with a bang on Monday’s Raw, cracking The Miz with a Codebreaker to send the audience in Hartford, Connecticut into raptures.
But the legend was swiftly interrupted by The Wyatt Family and subjected to a heinous beat-down, which was rubberstamped by a Sister Abigail from Bray Wyatt.
The six-time world champion will have plenty to address on Smackdown so make sure you hear what he has to say, either on Friday’s premiere showing or via one of the repeats.
Here’s what else you should look out for…
AJ LEE – Jericho’s return was not the only Raw shocker, with AJ Lee also ending her sabbatical and nicking the Divas Championship off British starlet Paige. A rematch with the Norwich-born fighter appears likely but first Lee must combat flame-haired Eva Marie
TITLE MATCH – Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio will scrap for the United States Championship, quite fitting, really, with Smackdown taking place on Independence Day. Will the Irishman retain the belt or will the Mexican win it from him?
MR MONEY IN THE BANK – Just days after seeing his attempts to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion crushed by Dean Ambrose, how will Seth Rollins respond? And, if John Cena is in the house, will The Aerialist try to cash in his contract once more?
STRONGMEN COLLIDE – A real meaty match-up awaits as Big E and Cesaro lock horns in New Jersey, with each man trying to land some crucial momentum ahead of the Battle Royal for the Intercontinental Title at Battleground
