Roman Reigns could become world champion for the first time at WWE Battleground after being placed in the pay-per-view’s Fatal Four-Way main event.
1am, Sun, July 20 (Mon)
Live on Sky Sports Box Office
The former Shield wrestler impressed during the eight-man WWE World Heavyweight Title Ladder Match at Money in the Bank and has been rewarded with a further championship opportunity.
Reigns will battle new belt holder John Cena, Randy Orton and Kane for sports entertainment’s ultimate prize when the stars of WWE descend on Tampa, Florida on Sunday, July 20.
The Juggernaut electrified fans at the 2014 Royal Rumble, eliminating 12 of his fellow Superstars – breaking Kane’s record of 11 for a single Rumble – en route to finishing second to Batista.
And after shattering any illusions that he could not function without Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins with his standout display at Money in the Bank, Reigns now has his eyes on becoming just the fourth WWE World Heavyweight Champion in history.
The Intercontinental Title will also be up for grabs at Battleground after Bad News Barrett’s shoulder injury forced him to relinquish the belt just two months into his reign.
A new champion will be crowned in Florida at the end of a Battle Royal, with already-named entrants Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, The Great Khali, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Alberto Del Rio and Big E set to be joined by many more.
WWE Battleground will be shown at 1am on Sunday, July 20 (Monday morning) on Sky Sports Box Office and Sky Sports HD Box Office, with repeats available until the following Saturday.
